USO Northwest is adapting its mission to deal with the coronavirus. Supporting the troops is still our top priority. As the world stands mostly still, the U.S. military is on the front lines against the coronavirus – both overseas and at home – and so is the USO!

COVID-19 was no match for the Easter Bunny or the Wardogs of the 21st Inland Cargo Transfer Company! As COVID-19 continues, USO Northwest’s Helping Hands Program ensured an Easter Egg Hunt to remember for the 21st ICTC’s Warpups! Thanks to the creativity and doggedness of their SFRG Leaders who came up with an amazing idea – a Social Distancing COVID-19 Virtual Easter Egg Hunt! With support from USO Northwest, Spring baskets were created for all of the children in the company. Each child received a Spring basket filled with outdoor activities, lots of toys and 30 eggs filled with wrapped candy and stickers that parents hid around the house for the children to find! Families posted videos and photos to the unit’s Facebook page for all to enjoy - together - safely!

Our Mobile USOs continue to make daily donation runs in support of the military bases throughout the Northwest including this trip to Naval Base Kitsap and the USS Nimitz where USO-NW delivered USO’s 4 “C"s – Coffee, Chips, Cookies and Candy thanks to the generosity of USO partners Starbucks, Tim’s Cascade Snacks, and the Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

Any contribution or donation right now will make a big impact on the lives of service members here in the Pacific Northwest.
