Volunteer

Over 90 percent of our programs and services are accomplished through volunteer efforts.

The USO Northwest maintains a volunteer corps of 600 individuals from communities throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our “Army of Gratitude” distinguishes our organization and ensures that donations go directly to our services and programs benefiting service members and their families.

Since our establishment in 1966, the USO Northwest volunteers have served over 4 million active-duty service members, retirees, veterans and their families. With a Center at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, two installation based USO Centers on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Centers serving Portland and Boise MEPS, and Mobile Outreach vans serving Idaho, Oregon and Washington, volunteers are critical to our mission.

USO Northwest’s “Army of Gratitude” provide more than 50,000 hours of volunteer service annually, providing a financial savings in excess of $1,500,000.

Whatever your time commitment or talents, there is a volunteer opportunity for you at the USO!
