About this Location

Our USO Shali Center is strategically located adjacent to the troop holding building on McChord Field at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. USO-NW staff and volunteers work closely with base operations in order to provide assistance with troop deployments, homecomings, and care package distribution. Our Shali Center provides troops sequestered in the troop holding area access to the center’s lounge, the Bob Hope Legacy Reading Program, a full-service canteen, computers and the Internet, free WI-FI access, big screen TVs and Xbox gaming area. In addition, the USO Shali Center hosts free monthly “No Dough” Dinners offering free hot meals before pay day to military personnel and their families. Our USO Shali Center serves more than 50,000 deploying troops annually.

I appreciate all the USOs out there and I think they're a great way to show support to troops traveling on official business or even for leisure with their families. I hope they never go away, they are very useful and should be appreciated by everyone who takes it upon themselves to visit.
