USO-NW staff and volunteers work closely with base operations in order to provide assistance with troop deployments, homecomings, and care package distribution. Our Shali Center provides troops sequestered in the troop holding area access to the center’s lounge, the Bob Hope Legacy Reading Program, a full-service canteen, computers and the Internet, free WI-FI access, big screen TVs and Xbox gaming area. In addition, the USO Shali Center hosts free monthly “No Dough” Dinners offering free hot meals before pay day to military personnel and their families. After getting delayed and rerouted and delayed and rerouted, I ended up at Sea-Tac at 0030 with my next flight at 0700. I found the USO and it was a blessing. After a day that made me want to cry, I am so appreciative of what you do for us. Being able to wash my face and brush my teeth made my day bearable!Anna C. Find out how to support USO
