Fairchild Service Members Treated to USO Experience with Brantley Gilbert

SPOKANE, WA — On Friday, August 13, USO provided a VIP Concert Experience for 45 airmen from Fairchild Air Force Base, home of the 92nd and 141st Air Refueling Wings.

The outdoor experience included tickets to the Brantley Gilbert concert in a private viewing area next to the stage. USO gave out concert swag to guests at the event courtesy of Brantley Gilbert. The event was made possible by a grant from Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino.

“This will be an evening to remember for those airmen who attended, and mainly the lucky four who were selected to go on stage to meet Brantley while he thanked them for their service and the crowd of 5,000 cheered,“ said Don Leingang, Executive Director, USO Northwest. "It was a special moment, and we are grateful to Brantley and his management team for providing this powerful and memorable experience for our service members. It was clear from the reaction of the audience that the Spokane community truly cares about our military. Hopefully, we can make this a tradition.

We only recently began offering USO programs on Fairchild AFB, and we are planning to do more morale-boosting events as we open a new USO center on the base later this year. We think it’s important to offer fun experiences for the troops on and off the base when possible, and concerts like this one help to bridge the military-civilian divide. We are grateful to have such great partners who care about our military and their families.”

USO plans to do more events in the Spokane community with the help of donors and volunteers in the area. To make a donation to USO Northwest and learn more about how you can get involved, go to northwest.uso.org.
