Grifols Talecris Plasma Resources Launch Fundraiser to Benefit USO Northwest as USO Celebrates its 80th Year

Portland, OR (Oct. 1, 2021) – Grifols Talecris Plasma Resources centers in Portland, Salem and Eugene will launch a fundraising campaign to support USO Northwest, an operating location of the United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO), and its center at Portland International Airport (PDX) on October 1st. “We are hosting this month-long fundraiser because we wanted to showcase our support of the USO and their mission to support our active duty military personnel and their families,” says Aaron Pan, Center Manager at the Talecris Plasma Resources center located at 10115 SE Stark St. “We are encouraging our plasma donors to consider giving a portion of their compensation for donating to the USO. This is a great opportunity to help support the mission of the USO and their direct support of active duty military service members wherever they are.”

Funds raised during this campaign will support USO Northwest programs and services to the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families. Each year, USO Northwest provides direct service to around 800,000 service members and their families stationed in or traveling through the Pacific Northwest. USO Northwest continuously adapts to the needs of our men and women in uniform and their families, developing new programs and services to support those who need it most, including morale-boosting and family-strengthening programs, deployment and redeployment support to help servicemen and women adjusting to the duty ahead, resiliency training for families facing multiple deployments, as well as discreet and compassionate escorts and other support for families of the fallen.

In 2021, the USO is celebrating 80 years of strengthening America’s military service members by connecting them to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.
