USO Northwest's Golf Classic Raises Record $312,000 in Support

We are very pleased to announce that our Red, White & Blue Golf Classic, was an outstanding success! Thanks to our sponsors and donors to the event, we raised in excess of $312,000 in support of our region’s military, their families and our veterans. This single day event is the largest golf event supporting our military, with more than 430 golfers, sponsors and attendees, including almost 100 military participants.

This year’s tournament had everything but rain, including a flyover by the Blackjack Squadron of Arlington, an 18-gun salute (for 18 holes of golf) by the USMC, and even lunch prepared by Master Gunnery Sergeant Jeremiah Burns, U.S. Marine Corps, and the current Armed Forces Champion of the National Capital BBQ Battle Cookoff! We would like to congratulate the Navy Team, which won a scorecard playoff over the National Guard and Coast Guard to win the event’s All Military Tournament with a score of 60. Their names will be engraved on the coveted “Chairman’s Military Cup”. We also would like to congratulate the Permission To Start Dreaming Team, for taking first place overall at our 23rd Annual Red, White & Blue Golf Classic.

The mission of the USO is to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. With the support of our partners and volunteers, we are able to serve more than 800,000 local and traveling military personnel or their family members annually. Through your gracious sponsorship and support, you play a tremendous role and are part of the joy delivered to so many of our military. We appreciate your generous and heartfelt support.
